Has anyone configured BigFix Core for SAML without a third party application like “passport-saml” or “Shibboleth?” Please let me know how you obtained the metadata to complete the setup. I am new at configuring SAML so bear with me. I am attempting to configure SAML on BigFix Core but there is very little instructions on how to get metadata (configuration info) from the BigFix Core server. My understanding is that metadata information is required in order to configure authentication between the Identity Provider (IDP) and the Service Provider (SP / BigFix core). In the documentation below, there is a mention of how to setup the redirect URLs but no mention of extracting the metadata necessary to setup authentication between the IDP and SP (Identity ID, shared secret. etc). Another page mentions using “passport-saml” for authentication between IDP and SP but was not clear if this was the only way, or a suggestion. Here are the links I used.
