Hi - I have been using the download cacher tool (RHELDownloadcacher-5.4.exe) to load the IEM server with rpm’s for patching. I have found that it mostly reports failed downloads in the logs - not always but this inconsistency is the problem. Having read through this forum on patching I found one similiar issue reported “Error patching Red Hat Linux” - Dec 11, 2012 and a reply to use the manual method!
Is this running the tool via that CLI - that gives the same result for me - can any one expand on this. How to download rpm’s to the IEM server. Because this works for some rpm’s and not others - I have registered the server to RHEL, proxy is set and can contact - i am just lost as to why certain RHSA’s come through and not others…
Using IBM Endpoint Manager v9
