Retrieving internet explorer settings

(imported topic written by RishiB)

I am new to bigfix and working on learning how to use the software.

Currently I am trying to figure out the best way of retrieving internet explorer settings using big fix. The path I took was trying to search the registry but I get an error “Singular expression refers to nonexistent object.” when I try to use it. Please advise what is the best way to accomplish this task.

if (exist key “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer” of registry ) then (it as string) of (name of it, it) of values of keys “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer” of registry else “No Key”

That relevance does work for me. I’m not sure what the problem you are seeing is, can you provide additional information? maybe a screen shot of your registry at that key?
