Is there a way to “reset” a baseline, so that any “No Default Action” fixlets can be revisited and either 1) choose an action for them, or 2) delete them from baseline?
Yes, I know that you can always delete items from a baseline, but there is no apparent way to determine which fixlets have a default action and which do not.
When you create a baseline for the first time, you can see all the default actions on the same page in the components tab… unfortunately, when you edit the baseline, you don’t see the dropdown any more…
So maybe you can add the same Fixlets to a new baseline and then adjust the actions as necessary?
Yeah, I understand that I can always go back and redo the work… but could I make this a feature request, instead? It seems pretty simple to implement, and would probably help several customers.
i’m with arpotu on this one. I have some baselines with several fixlets (monthly MS Patches) which are now indicating that a fixlet has no action selected however i don’t know which one and the only way to fix that is to re-do the baseline completely.
I always thought it was a bit daft to not be able to change the selected action when you edit a baseline. There may be a good reason behind it but i can’t find it…
Yea… There is a reason it was developed this way, but we concluded it is a bad reason and so we consider this a bug and it is already fixed in our next major release… Bug# 23495.
I don’t have a release date yet, but it is a major new release with lots of changes so it takes a while to build/test… It will probably be many months from now…
