Reporting on only fixlets you want to see... how do you do it?

(imported topic written by SystemAdmin)

Hi all;

I’m looking to find a good way to report easily on only the fixlets I want to see. With thousands of fixlets in BES here would be the example:

Lets say I have determined that in my environment we will not be globally deploying Office 2000 patches. I want them available for each site if they choose to deploy, but globally we won’t be doing it. Therefore I don’t want to have to filter out all office 2k products every time I create reports either through web reports, or viewing the console and those canned reports.

Any one have a way they do this? Keep fixlets in BES, but remove from “global” or “main” reporting?

How about right-click global hide?

Problem with globally hiding is that an individual site may want to deploy the patches that I don’t want to report on from a global perspective. So they still need access to see them.

You can always use the filtering mechanism in the reports…
