Report listing tasks per host not relevant (i.e. applied already)

(imported topic written by jasonpap200291)

Hi Folks,

I don’t

believe

this is possible, but I wanted to run it by the experts first.

I would like to have a simple report showing which custom tasks are NOT relevant per computer. In other words, to show what has been applied already based on some specific filter criteria so it doesn’t just pull up ALL not relevant tasks. The filter criteria is easy - each of my custom tasks will have unique identifier common in the name (“jason” in my example below).

<?Relevance trs of ( (td of item 0 of it & td of name of item 1 of it) of (names of it, relevant fixlets whose (name of it as lowercase contains "jason") of it) of bes computers) ?>
Hostname Task Name

Problem with this is that it shows only what IS relevant. I’d like the opposite. I tried all combinations of “…not relevant fixlets whose…” etc. and reviewed the relevance manuals but no luck so far.

Am I missing something obvious or is my conclusion sound that it’s not that easy…? I’ve searched and found some references too that suggest it ain’t happening. Oh, this is for BES agent 7.2.5.22.

Thanks in advance on this for this Friday morning.

-Jason

Hi Jason,

Try using the set inspectors. Something like:

(name of item 1 of it, names of elements of item 0 of it) of

(
item 0 of it - set of relevant fixlets
whose
(
name of it as lowercase contains “jason”
)
of item 1 of it , item 1 of it
)
of
(
set of bes fixlets
whose
(
name of it as lowercase contains “jason”
)
, bes computers
)

Watch out the performance might be horrible for lots of fixlets/computers.

I’ll take a look Jesse - and thank you.
