Relevance to find corresponding fixlet with file/folder in /uploads

I searched the forum but was not able to find an existing relevance.

I have few files and folders (folder names are in SHA1) in the “\Program Files (x86)\BigFix Enterprise\BES Server\wwwrootbes\Uploads” on the Bigfix root server which I am not sure if they belong to any fixlets/task or if they are orphaned.

I use to be able to use Bigfix lab Dashboard “Cache Management” but that no longer works because of Flash Player changes on the Bigfix console.

Looking for help with relevance to find Fixlets or tasks which corresponds to those SHA1 folders.

If you are using the built-in tools like the Software Deployment dashboard or the OS Deployment dashboards to put the files in the Uploads folder, those uploads should be automatically removed when the last reference is removed (i.e. when the package is removed in the OSD or SWD dashboards).
If you’re manually staging files in the Uploads folder and they aren’t tracked by a dashboard, you’re a bit out of luck there.
It’s not just a matter of finding file references in Fixlets - several dashboards like OSD keep those links in internal dashboard variables, or driver downloads referenced in generated config files, so generalizing the cleanup is problematic. Each feature that stages into the Uploads folder is expected to clean up after itself.

Thanks Jason. We don’t have OSD but do have SWD. Manual going through each package in SWD to see if those files belong to any of the package is very time consuming so I was looking for some analysis where I can look for folder name in SHA1 value and find a corresponding fixlet if it exists.
