Relevance Debugger or QnA for a MAC

(imported topic written by npedrosa91)

I have a couple of MAC questions that I hope someone can answer…

Does a Relevance Debugger or QnA for a MAC exist? Does the MAC have “__Download” folder and a bigfix client log to examine? If so, where does is the exact path on a MAC

Id like to start using bigfix to manage and maintain our MAC clients, but documentation and resources for bigfix for MACs are scarce or non-existant.

Thanks

Neil

noah$ grep qna .bashrc

alias qna="/Applications/BigFixQnA.app/Contents/Resources/BigFixQnA"

(I added that alias myself. The QnA app is in the Mac .dmg image that you use to install the client.)

Q: (name of it, version of it) of operating system

A: Mac OS X, 10.6.4

Q: length of “BigFix is an awesome tool!” > 20

A: True

Q: length of “BigFix could use better Mac docs” > 20

A: True

If you are going to be writing your own Fixlets there is a available in the Docs area of the Support site. Also, take note of the Mac Software Distribution Wizard and the Mac-specific content in the “Patches for Mac OS X” site.
