Relay not reporting

One of our relay is not reporting to console. When I stop relay service and restart besclient service it will report fine but when I start relay service it will stop reporting again. Anyone encountered the same? Thanks

The endpoints also stop reporting same as the relay.

OK, so it is the relay service at fault.

I’d take a pragmatic approach, I think. Take note of any relay settings (cache size, affiliation advertisements etc.), uninstall the relay service, make sure it reports correctly as a client, then reinstall the relay and add the settings back.

I have tried reinstalling both client and the relay service but the issue still persists.

Those are the obvious steps to take and if they don’t solve the issue then the forum is probably not best placed to resolve this.

Yes, raise support incident. Check log file in the BES relay folder as well, and whether you have a host-based firewall allowing BESClient but not BESRelay to communicate up to the parent.
