Question about locking BES clients

(imported topic written by rmnetops91)

It seems locking a BES client also stops them from processing auto-group and fixlet relevance? Is there any way to make it so locking doesn’t shutoff these things, but only blocks “actions” taken against them?

Reason is we need to block actions only, but we still want these systems to auto-group properly and reflect accurate fixlet relevance and attributes information.

Locking should only prevent the agent from running actions and shouldn’t affect Fixlet evaluation… Do you see different behavior for Fixlet evaluation for locked computers?

I will need to check on how locked computers work with automatic groups (which are technically considered actions, but I thought they were exempt).

Yes I see different behaviour. It seems they do not auto-update their auto-group memberhips even if they should be relevant.
