Hi,
First of all, when you take the action, is there any endpoint relevant to the task? If not, you may need to do some configuration to make it relevant (at least you need to have CPM client deployed first).
If that is not the case, it could because of slow network/server/relay. Check if this happen on other tasks/fixlets. If you selected an endpoint, you may check the client log which located at %BESClient_Install_Dir%__BESData__Global\Logs

I mean you find another fixlet that shows this endpoint is “Relevant” to it.
Sorry I didn’t make it clear. The two points:
deploy another relevant fixlet on this endpoint
deploy the same fixlet on another relevant endpoint
is to troubleshoot the problem.
If 1 works, the fixlet may have problem. If it does not work, the connection between the endpoint with the sever/relay may have problem.
If 2 works, the fixlet should be fine and the problem could be with the endpoint environment. If it does not work, means the server is not able to send any action to any clients.

You may log in to the endpoint and figure out which relevance of the Data Protection fixlet goes “False”.
Alternatively, I suggest you contact the TEM support team.

Data protection is an add-on for TEM-CP and you need to purchase that separately. Please contact corresponding person (i think the sales team handle that) to get it.
