"Practical Guide to Relevance" scheduled for 1/31/08 at 9:00am PT

(imported topic written by BenKus)

As discussed here at http://forum.bigfix.com/viewtopic.php?id=1636 we are experimenting with idea that we can provide periodic technical sessions for BigFix users. Our first topic is “Practical Guide to Relevance” and it is scheduled for 1/31/08 at 9:00am PT. Our target will be an hour presentation with questions and then afterwards we can have open questions.

Summary:

In this session, we look to give a practical guide to relevance. Most people who use BigFix will often look at relevance or see it discussed often and this session will try to help you understand, read, and create relevance easier. Rather than focus on a complete guide to relevance (which is a training class we offer over multiple days), the purpose of this session is for you to get practical knowledge on using relevance along with tips & tricks. People with only basic knowledge of relevance should benefit the most, but I expect that even advanced relevance users will find some benefit in this session.

Has this webex been recorded so those who missed it can also see it?

We will put up the info shortly…

It seemed from from the initial responses, this was a helpful session and I think we will plan another session soon.

Is there any feedback regarding the session for those who made it?

Was it too fast? Too slow? Was the format interesting? Did we talk too quickly? And so on…

Thanks,

Ben

Sorry for the delay… We made a web page for this… Note that it doesn’t appear the presentation was recorded through webex properly (looks like a webex recording bug to me) and so you will need to open the presentation manually to follow along: http://support.bigfix.com/bes/misc/techsessions.html

I think it is time for another session… Anyone have any ideas?

What about “BigFix Deployment Performance Optimizations” OR “Best Practices for your BigFix Relays”? Any votes? Any other ideas?

Ben
