Power Mgmt and No Current User

(imported topic written by jr6591)

I just noticed that some of my PC’s which were set to receive a PM task (Home Office), now do not go into Standby when no user exists. Obviously the fixlet will not be relevant since there is no current user.

I thought (and my memory is failing me), that I had set this and I can’t remember how, that if no user is logged on, it will still go into Standby mode (Home offce - 5 for the monitor and 15 for the Standby).

Ring a bell for anyone?

Hey jr,

Yes. As far as I know, a computer with no user logged in will use the power management settings of the last logged in user. However, note that if you are suffering from PC Insomnia, our Fixlets to detect PC Insomnia will only work if a user is logged in (because you can’t detect idle time unless a user is logged in)…
