I would like to know and understand what the methodologies you guys are using for patching 3rd party apps.
We choose to apply patch policy for most of 3rd party apps.
Our PP refreshes once a day and opens a new action for 24H every day.
Our PP excludes few apps:
- ZOOM + ZOOM Plugin
We noticed that we are having issue with updating the zoom plugin and then it leads to issues with the plugin.
The ZOOM updates and the plugin stays with low version and is not working well.
Currently we are downloading the plugin manually and deploy it. - Java
We choose to update Java with our custom baseline. - Tableau
Currently not in use due to internal decision.
BTW, since we use PP as I explained:
- I informed in a different Topic that “Dell command” version is not the latest - seems to be fixed.
- I also informed about me issue with zoom plugin -not yet resolved
- I noticed that I’m having issues updating TeamViewer (also happens when downloading manually)
