Hello, We have IEM 9.0.787 running and are trying to get OSD working. We’ve setup/configured the required components and the health checks pass. When we try to capture an XP image off a laptop the process completes successfully but the laptop never reboot into PX mode. We’ve opened a support ticket with IBM and provided screen shots, logs and directory but haven’t received any recommendation of what to do/try next. Any idea what steps to take in troubleshooting this issue?

Hi Chris,

the capture should work as follows

  • donor in XP and prepared with needed tools

  • donor rebooted in WinPe and LiteTouch process started

  • .WIM created on the SMB share provided

  • donor rebooted on disk (since it is XP and sysprep was started prior the capture, it should prompt for mini-setup steps - prod key, net settings,…just like you were reinstalling)
