Hi Everyone,

I’m basing this off a v9.0 or earlier implementation. I believe some of the permissions have changed in v9.2.
The Console Operators in question will require Writer Permission to the site in question.
How they get the right depends on how you have the environment configured. If you are using Roles (my recommendation), you can grant the Role WRITER permissions to the Site. Otherwise you can grant a specific user the Writer permission directly.
The Writer permission will allow them to create all forms of Custom Content in the indicated site.
Hi Tim,
They have Writer permissions on the site but still can’t create an analysis. I created an analysis as MO and created one retrieve and the restricted user still can’t edit or create one.
Any Ideas?
Peter
When they create the Analysis, are they selecting the site where they have the Writer permissions to save it in? I leave the Domain set as the default of “All Content”.
All they should need is write access to that site and they should be able to create an analysis and properties.
Hmmm jgstew, I gave them the permission but they can’t seem to be able to create any properties.
Peter
If they are trying to create a property without doing so by creating or editing an analysis, then that requires Master Operator Permissions.
They need to create an analysis, then add properties to it. They need write access to the site the put the analysis in and they need to be able to create custom content.
It’s working now. I was trying to do it from right click manage properties which is usually the way i get there as MO.
Peter
I would recommend always making properties in an analysis, not through managed properties. You should also not create properties as a MO as much as possible to keep the actionsite small. There might be a very small set of properties that are mission critical that would go in the actionsite because they affect other things and so that they are not effected by site subscription problems.
The only other exception is if you need the property to be available in the wizards.
Yes we do but you can create analyses from the right click option.
