Office 2021 updates in airgapped environment

Is there a way to deploy and update clients office 2021 when the client is in offline environment and the bigfix uses Airgap tool?

Of course, If you enable the “Update Source” to “Local Client” - You will see special Fixlets which don’t require Network Share or CDN access.
Because those Fixlets, are using the prefetch statements the files should be downloaded through the Airgap Tool.

In that case, we should deploy first the task Configure the Update Source of Office 365 - Office 2021 and then select Local Client Cache as the update source?

After setting above configuration on the client, we can proceed on deploying the Office 2021 update directly on the endpoint? Or are there any other configurations or steps need to do?

I’m not near the Console right now
But after you will apply the setting you will get new Relevant Fixlets with the “Local Cache” option - You will need to deploy them

Curious, Is this setting for Office documented anywhere? Also, we have been finding it difficult when downloading office updates for a airgapped network. Is there a special technique for that as well?

I’m also not seeing it in the documentation - but here is a release announcement about the behavior - IBM BigFix Patches for Windows releases Fixlets for Office 365 users with language packs

Hi @ncpeteusa, it is documented here at this link. I’ll work with the team to make some additional improvements to the documentation:
