Not having much luck with the Windows Software Distribution wizard…
I go through the wizard as instructed, point the wizard to a fileshare.
When it asks me for the enter the command line for the installer I add “/QN” after setup.exe .
The wizard chugs away and creates the Task, uploading the 800MB folder.
I then run it against a single targeted machine.
On the console, it reports as “Running”.
However, on the target machines screen up pops a dialog box titled “Setup Controller Command-line Help”
We click the only button on it: “OK”
I go back to the console and it shows the action as “Completed”
However, Office 2007 is not actually installed on the targeted machine, and Office 2003 is still on it.
Any thoughts ?
I have attached a image of the dialog box to this posting.
Thanks

Is /QN a valid option? What happens when you go to the commandline of your source folder on the share and run “setup.exe /QN”?

/qn is a valid argument for an MSI, but not for setup.exe.
On any workstation, map a network drive to your office 2007 share and run setup.exe /admin.
Fill in the form and select the silent installation option.
Go to File > Save As and save as default.msp in the Updates folder of your Office 2007 share.
After doing these steps, setup.exe without any flags will do what you want.
