Not your regular relevance question

(imported topic written by pmullins91)

Hi folks,

This might be obvious, but I haven’t been able to figure out how to do this. I see fixlets and tasks out there which have Relevance 1, Relevance 2, etc. listed as criteria for applicability. I have tried to recreate this by using the “Computers which match all of the conditions below” and setting several Relevance Expressions, but when I go back to the Details tab in the Fixlet I see everything combined in “Relevance 1.”

I exported two Fixlets - one with the Relevance listed how I want and one of mine. The former has Relevance enclosed with these tags only:

<Relevance>foo</Relevance>

Mine is enclosed in the same tags and additionally within these tags:

<GroupRelevance JoinByIntersection="true">foo</GroupRelevance>

Do I have any options short of manually editing the XML?

TIA

Hi pmullins,

Currently our export/import format doesn’t support the multiple relevance lines (there is no functional difference, it is just a difference in display in the console).

Sorry,

Ben

Thanks Ben.

I just wanted to check on this topic to see if there was any plans to enable this feature for user created tasks and not BigFix created fixlets.

It can be a bit challenging to troubleshoot relevance when looking at it all on a single line as opposed to multiple relevance statements.

Thanks for your time.

The upcoming release supports multiple relevance statements for custom fixlets. (Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead)
