Not relevant for all patches

  • Bigfix Root Server
    OS: Windows 2012 (64bit)
    DB: MS-SQL 2008 R2
    Bigfix Version: v9.2.11.19

Target Agent OS: Linux Suse Enterprise Server 12 (4.12.14-95.19-default)

Some agents report SUSE all patches are not relevant. When debugging, it is marked as shown below.
Can you tell the cause?

Please help me.

A Suse machine shouldn’t be relevant to Red Hat patches.
I haven’t looked at Suse in quite a while but…I think Suse doesn’t use RPM, does it?

Relevance is fine for a Suse target. I am able to run the same question using a Suse 15 client, but my agent is 9.5.14:

Your error seems a bug… Not clear to me why you are referring to Red Hat patches while the target is Suse.

I said it wrong…
Not the redhat patch.
Patch for suse 12 sites.
The other PCs are patched normally. Only a few pcs are causing problems as below.

Have all PCs (patched correctly and the others with the above error) the same os and client version?

The pc version and OS in question are the same.

All Linux Use Enterprise Server 12 (4.12.14-95.19-default)

RPM child process error (from: PARENT type : protocolError file: c/ChildworkerManager.cpp line : 284 debuginfo: (type: userNotfonund file: c/ChildworkerManager.cpp line : 297 debuginfo: Sucess ))

I think we need to correct the above error.
Normal pc does not indicate this error, but displays only two true or false.
