Non WMI query for motherboard type

The majority of our business class pc’s respond properly with the motherboard manufacturer and type, serial numbers, etc from the hardware analysis.

Our AOPEN brand pc’s, of which we have quite a few, respond with AOPEN_ as manufacturer but the motherboard type as AWRDACPI The board type should be AX4SPE-N, MX4GVR, etc. Aida or some other third party shareware utilities can somehow get the correct motherboard type.

Just wondering what you recommend as an alternative to query these pc’s.

I’d stake money that those values are somewhere in WMI and you just need to figure out where to query. I’ve used a utility called WMIExplorer before… I’m sure there are others.
