Is there a way to capture the network name of a computer. By this I mean the name that returns from a ping or an nslookup. It is the DNS registered name not the computer name. We have machines that are not registering in DNS and I would like to be able to identify them.

The relevance: dns name

is not necessarily the same as the dns zone that the computer is in.
