Need Baseline report to include IP address

(imported topic written by olsonc5891)

I am using Web reports to list the servers that still need patching from my August Basline. The standard baseline Web report is great except that it does not list IP addresses. How do I get a report that includes the computer name AND also the IP address?

Thanks,

Chris

Hi Chris,

Have you seen the following report?

Maybe it will give you what is needed.

Thanks. I have downloaded it and it is proccessing now (I think). I am a bit confused by the instructions.

"- Download the zip file ext-3.2.0-computercompliance16-asset12-fixletcompliance11.zip

  • Unzip to the BigFix Web Reports root directory, for example “C:\Program Files\BigFix Enterprise\BES Server\BESReportsServer\wwwroot”. " OK

“You should have a \wwwroot\ext-3.2.0 directory.” For what? Does this mean to download to this directory instead of wwwroot?

“- If the \ext-3.2.0 directory already exists, the easiest is to rename it first.” Rename it to what and why?

I’m sure this is simple and I am dense but I don’t quite understand it.

No problem, if this is not clear to you, it is probably confusing for others as well.

Basically unzip the package into the \wwwroot directory, that is it.

The \wwwroot directory would have started without a directory name \ext-3.2.0.

In order to verify that we have unzipped the package into the correct directory structure, please check that after unzipping, we see the \ext-3.2.0 directory under \wwwroot.

Clear as mud?!

Ah yes. Now I understand. The extraction will create the ext-3.2.0 directory for the files and that is where they should reside after the extraction. Now it works. For some reason I thought I had to create that directory so the first time it did not work. Excellent report by the way. That works for my current purposes and gives me a lot of good information.

Thank you!!!
