Linux Agent unable to communicate with its Relay

I had an issue passed to me today. A Linux server’s client was running, but it could not communicate with the upstream Relay.

I stopped the BESClient and deleted the __BESData folder and restarted the BESClient. Once the client redownloaded the content from the Relay it was able to communicate again.

Anyone else seen this before? Is there a better way to fix it?

I’ve seen it happen a load of times and typically I’ve put it down to space issues and resolved it in exactly the same way you have. I’ve no idea what causes it but wanted to let you know you weren’t alone :smiley:
