How do Bigfix licenses cover virtual machines? Are they considered an entire separate machine if they are on the same physical host that is already using a Bigfix license?

Hi ajponte,
Basically if you have an OS with an installed agent, then it counts as one license (regardless of if the underlying system is physical or virtual)…

Apologies for barging into an old thread, but . . .
In a VDI environment - say I have ten Devices accessing 100 different VMs, but only max 40 machines running at the same time. How many licenses would I need?
Microsoft will license the Accessing Device and Anti-Virus typically per User, but how will BigFix do it?

Hi Vittrup,
BigFix is licensed per managed device, not per concurrent user.
thanks,
