Legacy BigFix Client Remains Registered After Upgrade

When we upgraded to 9.X years ago it went pretty well. However, while prepring to retire our old BES 8.X server we did a quick search and found that the the BigFix Client is still registerd as installed on several of the Windows 7 workstations.

Note: Registered in the context it still shows up in Add/Remove programs. The acutal BES Client is ver 9.2 and it’s reporting to the proper relay, etc.

I just wonder if there’s anyone that ran in to this, or if there’s an way to clean up the old client registration on windows.

Thanks

There is a fixlet in BES Support that can remove invalid entries in the Add/Remove programs.

Fixlet 1165 Remove invalid BES Clients entry from the Add/Remove Programs List

This should take care of the issue if I’m understanding the problem correctly. If you have more than one invalid one it may take a couple of runs of the fixlet to clean up the issue.
