We are experiencing latency in our bigfix system. the clients are on and talking successfully to the relays but are not showing as turned on in the console. Our network team has recently implemented QOS and we upgraded to 7 (server, consoles & some relays) at about the same time so we are trying to figure out where the latency lies.

Has anyone else experienced latency in the middle of upgrading their BF infrastructure?

At the same time, we are trying to get our network team to give us a guaranteed QOS limit, so the question is what does everyone else have as their limit if implemented. We are thinking 28kbps guaranteed during the day (at night QOS limits are removed) since we do most of our patching and deployments at night. Any input would be appreciated.

Can you describe the nature of the latency? Is it that the agents have old last report times? Or is it that they don’t respond to actions quickly?

they report but do not respond to new actions or new properties

found the problem. the network guys killed the connection from the server to the client.
