Issue with AIX Download Plugin 4.0.0.1

Hi all

There is an issue with AIX Download PLugin 4.0.0.1.

It used to work in the past, but now it fails.

I tried on 2 different BigFix servers, one with direct Internet connection and the other with proxy (no authentication), and result is the same, whatever the TL or SP I try to download.

In the BigFix Console, message is:

I see multiple errors in the ecc log file, one saying “Requested fixes could not be found”.

I also tried to download it using task “Run Download Cacher Tool- AIX”, and it failed (again with or without proxy), and the AIXDownload.log says;

So I guess some modifications have been made on IBM Fix Central websites, and the Download Plugin and Download Cacher needs to be updated.

Is anyone aware of this issue? any workaround?

What is the site version of Patches for AIX do you have? Because in the latest site version 675, the 7.1 TL 5 SP3 you’re trying to download is actually 7100-05-03-1846. The 7100-05-03-1838 that you have is an older version and no longer exist.

I will have to check tomorrow at customer site. The result I posted on the forum were test I made on some quite old platform, but the tests we made at customer site were on a fresh installation of latest (9.5.11.191) version of BES Server 2 days ago, so I guess version of Patch for AIX site was also latest.

I’ll keep you posted after tests tomorrow.
