Issue when creating a Distribution task using an MSI installer

Hello All,

I have an issue that I am hoping someone may be able to shed some light on.

I am trying to create a distribution task in IEM using an MSI file.

Using the ‘Create Distribution Task’ wizard, I have no issues up until I try to select the option ‘Also create an associated uninstall task’. (This tick box is available when you expand the ‘Show Advanced Options’ when adding an MSI install package.

When the ‘Also create an associated uninstall task’ box is checked I receive the following error:

An error occurred while making your request.

Requirement failure at SiteSelectionDropdown.cpp:103 ( !m_itemDataMap.empty() )

The log file contains the following message:

2/10/2015 09:27:18.768 [ERROR] ComponentLibrary.js BFExternalInterface.callWithCallback: Error executing specified method.
methodName: importXML
Error details: Requirement failure at SiteSelectionDropdown.cpp:103 ( !m_itemDataMap.empty() )
2/10/2015 10:12:04.151 [ERROR] ComponentLibrary.js BFExternalInterface.callWithCallback: Error executing specified method.
methodName: importXML
Error details: Requirement failure at SiteSelectionDropdown.cpp:103 ( !m_itemDataMap.empty() )

I can create the task successfully without the ‘Also create an associated uninstall task’ box checked. But this creates extra workload as I then need to run through the wizard a second time to create a separate uninstall task.

I should be able to have the above option selected and the wizard should create the uninstall task automatically without any errors.

Screenshots of error messages can be seen by following the link below:

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Billy
