Hi All.
We recently upgraded from 7.2.5.22 to 8.1.617. Everything went very smoothly, except that the majority of our Windows 7 (x64) clients failed to upgrade. We are using the fixlet from the BES Support site to perform the upgrade but it typically fails in this way:
- Create action to deploy client to relevant Win7 box
- Win7 box downloads and executes BESClientUpgrade.exe
- BESClientUpgrade.exe spawns msiexec.exe to perform the install
- The “BES Client" service is stopped
- The installer hangs indefinitely and the last entry in the besclientinstall.log is “Invoking script function RemoveOldBESClient"
- So, the Win7 machine is left with a stopped 7.2.5.22 client and a residual msiexec.exe process running.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?
Thanks!
