I have the following problems with Inventory:
I had to Manually upload the latest catalog, a task kicked off in Bigfix: Catalog Download (version: 263878.4)
These fail with the attached screenshots attached:
This implies your Root Server cannot reach the Inventory server at the address Inventory is using to publish the catalogs.
Common causes are a firewall blocking HTTPS from Root to Inventory, or the Inventory server behind a NAT, or multiple IP interfaces on the Inventory server and Inventory publishing the catalog on the wrong address.
See https://help.hcltechsw.com/bigfix/9.5/inventory/Inventory/planinconf/t_nat_networks.html and the SERVER_URL_CATALOG configuration you can use to configure which name/address Inventory uses to publish the catalog and see if that helps.
You can expand those “Download Failed” messages to see which URL is in use now.
Are you running your inventory server on an APIPA address?
You can also add the BFI server Name/IP to BigFix Proxy exceptions if proxy configuration is setup for the root server
