InvalidTextEncoding in GatherDB.log

Hi All,

For some reason I am getting the follow error message in my GatherDB.log file

Tue, 06 Oct 2015 09:05:33 -0600 – Beginning import of version 58 of site IBM Endpoint Manager for Software Use Analysis
Tue, 06 Oct 2015 09:05:33 -0600 – ERROR: Import aborted: class InvalidTextEncoding

This message repeats and it seems to only be for this one site. I enabled a new site to see what would happen and it gathered the site content correctly

Tue, 06 Oct 2015 08:57:03 -0600 – Beginning import of version 45 of site BigFix Labs
Tue, 06 Oct 2015 08:57:10 -0600 – Import of version 45 of site BigFix Labs completed successfully

I opened IE and browsed to http://sync.bigfix.com/cgi-bin/bfgather/ibmforsua and that was successful.

I also tried the BESAdmin.exe /resignSecurityData which I saw in technote, but that did not do anything.

Has anyone seen this? Any troubleshooting ideas?

Out of curiosity, are you using a proxy in your environment?

Probably best to file a PMR for gather issues

No proxy. This is a simple lab setup. This was all working last time I was in my lab
