Invalid action content during apply automatic updates

(imported topic written by mholder91)

Receiving the following error on some machines within the “apply automatic updates” active task:

Invalid action content: the action script contains a syntax error.

The step that is failing is:

// Windows

if {name of operating system contains “Win”}

// Call TMCPMAuUpdater.exe --> input:server.ini ; output:urllist.txt

execute prefetch plug-in “{(value “Application Path” of key “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\TrendMicro\CPM” of registry as string) & “\TMCPMAuUpdater.exe”}” -pu -m “{(pathname of client folder of site “CustomSite_FileOnlyCustomSite_CPMAutoUpdate”) & “\server.ini”}” -f “{(pathname of client folder of site “CustomSite_FileOnlyCustomSite_CPMAutoUpdate”) & “\urllist.txt”}”

These machines have successfully updated in the past, but are now failing and only state in the status column. I have tried re-installing CPM on some of these and then they appear to get updates successfully, but new machines keep receiving this error every day. It’s becoming a vicious cycle of re-installing CPM on new machines each day. Anyone run into similar issues? Any suggestions? Thanks for your time.

EDIT: Sorry — this is for CPM 1.6 on BigFix clients 7.2.5.22. Clients are a variety of XP, Win7, and maybe Win2K

Hi Michael,

It seems like there is definitely something wrong, but I don’t know what it is myself… Can you try contacting support?

Thanks,

Ben
