Install program on client machine

(imported topic written by SystemAdmin)

I want to install a program ccproxy.exe on a client machine. Can you please guide me through all of the steps in detail?

Both machines, i.e, server and client are running on windows server 2003. The setup of ccproxy.exe is saved on the server machine.

Have you looked into the Software Distribution Wizard that is distributed under the BES Support site?

It does a great job of creating you a base installation task that can be further customized.

For testing purpose I have created a package to copy the setup file from my BES server to BES client.

But once it started to download the file, I got the following error.

Download error: “The only supported protocols are http, https, and ftp”

Download requested on server:

URL: SWDProtocol://127.0.0.1:52311/uploads/AC9A021DC07C9A269B547B2A5B07719F61CD9368/Firefox%20Setup%203.6.13.exe.bfswd

SHA1: ac9a021dc07c9a269b547b2a5b07719f61cd9368

Next retry: 10 minutes. Retry now

Anyone please help me to solve this problem.

Abdul, change this statement “SWDProtocol”, if you are using http just left http, if you are using a secure connection you may use https.

I hope this can help you
