Indicate RPM's which cause a change in the RHEL-release

(imported topic written by only4berni)

Hello all,

in our environment we have some sensitive applications

running on RHEL which stop working if the release or Version

of the installed RHEL changes from e.g. RHEL 6.1 -> RHEL 6.2.

Some of the RPM’s provided by Red Hat are causing this kind

of upgrades without notice which is causing troubles.

Since the fixlets which are provided by BigFix should

be tested before they get published my idea was to introduce

a flag, let’s call it ‘cause_release_change’, which is

maintained in the fixlet and set by the team who is doing

the testing of the fixlets.

Is this doable? If yes, can you open a bugfix for this?

Thank you, Berni
