IE 11 and IEM Console (any conflicts)

I was using IEM Console, and was tinkering around with the Solaris Patch Deployment Wizard and things were going ok. Yesterday, I tried to use the Wizard again, and it shows “Loading…” and then never finishes loading the Wizard.

One thing that I did since I last remember using the Wizard was have IE 11 installed on my laptop. Is anyone else using IE 11, and using IEM console? If so, can you see if you can open the Solaris Patch Deployment Wizard and see if it asks for a file or folder where file patch(es) are to be uploaded from?

Thanks,
Bob_K

I don’t believe IE 11 itself is the issue here as I was able to load the Wizard on a machine running IE 11. I’d recommend contacting support on this issue by opening a PMR so that they can help troubleshoot (Console debug logs may help here: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21505990)

@Aram

One of my co-workers pointed out this link: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21506082

Where you can use Ctrl-Alt-Shift-D to add a debug menu item to top of window. It is especially useful when you don’t have the ability to modify the registry on the computer you are working on…

This is what I see as I click on Wizards / Patches for Solaris / Solaris Patch Deployment Wizard

Does anything stick out as being wrong?

Thanks,

Just to keep everyone up to date on my progress, in case anyone else comes across this problem.

IBM suggested that I try clearing the cache (under File / Preferences) to see if that resolves the problem. It didn’t resolve the problem, but I did get additional information in the Debug Dialog:

Mon, 16 Mar 2015 08:01:37 -0400 - [timing] Entering EvaluateRelevance: format “You need to install/upgrade to the latest Adobe Flash Player for Internet Explorer. Click here for more information.” + substring between “%22” of (link of fixlet 716 of bes site whose (name of it = “BES Support”) as string)
Mon, 16 Mar 2015 08:01:37 -0400 - [timing] Exiting EvaluateRelevance: format “You need to install/upgrade to the latest Adobe Flash Player for Internet Explorer. Click here for more information.” + substring between “%22” of (link of fixlet 716 of bes site whose (name of it = “BES Support”) as string) (0 ms)

Now, to get approval to have version 17.0.0.134 of Adobe Flash Player installed on my machine…

Hopefully that will help.

Update…

IBM is now aware of a bug with the Solaris Patch Deployment Wizard and they are working on a fix for this. I will let you know when that fix is released.
