I am trying to find a way to get the warranty information into bigfix for the major brands dell, hp, lenovo.
I would also like to try to get MS surfaces too but I will try to tackle that after.
I actually have a semi-fixlet created for lenovo and dell (its ugly but it works). I just saw some of your posts here for dell so I am thinking i will take your suggestions there. However, I still cannot get anything from HP.
I’ve tried writing a PERL WWW::Mechanize script to parse the website site data but that is also encrypted in a tunnel. I am also trying to get these to be done on each machine so it can report the data into bigfix. Is this the best way?
Evidently, HP doesn’t have a “production ready” API as the other brands do.
I am very much lost and could use any help I can get. I have been working on trying this alone for several days and googling is only getting me so far.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
