I had a query regarding BigFix upgrade. We are upgrading from BigFix version 10.0.11.108 to 11.0.6.37.
We have some servers of HP-UX B.11.31 and windows 2003. Before upgrade I will be enabling enhanced security TLS 1.2 as it is a pre-req before version 11 upgradation.
My question is, will the HP-UX and Windows 2003 servers report in bigfix after the upgrade? The latest agent version I can see available in BES Support for both these OSes are 9.2.22.
Till 11.0.4 I have seen agent 9.2.16 was supported for win2003. Not sure if this will support for 11.0.6. please test it test environment first
Which TLS did you enable? In enhanced security?
We are on 11.0.6 (TLS1.2) and we still have HP-UX working fine from Platform prospective but BFI isn’t working on them and just went back and forth with support, there is no backwards campatibility/support there.
Thanks ageorgiev. We dont have BFI so I think we are good to go for HP-UX. Any inputs for win2003?
No, we got rid of those but I would imagine it’s very much of the same. HP-UX & Win2003 are supported as of 9.2.x, so you will leave the current version of the agents and point them to the much newer architecture. The only things there are some masthead-level restrictions that you may need to lift via the Admin tool (BESAdmin Windows Command Line) but it should work.
