Hey Rajeev,

Right-click on a computer, go to “Edit Settings” and you will see that you can assign a primary and a secondary BES Relay to an agent. You can also consider using the Relay Autoselection feature so that the BES Agents can automatically find their closest BES Relay.

On secondary relay there is drop down menu. I would like to assign it to external relay something like relay is in DMZ

rkc,

You can set the primary relay at install time using the besrelay.cfg file as described in http://support.bigfix.com/cgi-bin/kbdirect.pl?id=244

If you are asking how to assign a BES Relay by IP address instead of DNS name (or by some other DNS name), you need to do the following:

  • Change the DNS name of the BES Relay (to an IP or a different DNS name) using the Task: “BES Relay Setting: Name Override” in the BES Support site.
  • Send the change out and as soon as the relay reports its new name, it will be available in the “Edit Settings” list to be assigned as a primary or secondary relay.
