How to prevent and/or remove duplicate fixlets in a baseline

I am new to Bigfix and I noticed that it allows me to add duplicate fixlets to a baseline. I am wondering if there’s a way to prevent this from happening in the first place or maybe a way to remove all the duplicates automatically. If it was less than 20 or 30 fixlets I would just do it manually and not worry about it. The problem is when you have 150 components in a baseline it’s almost unmanageable. This is especially true when you’re first starting out with Bigfix and are working to patch all of your systems, initially there’s going to be a large amount of patches that need to be released.

Even for ongoing basis, it’s difficult to keep track of the patches that I approved last week. For example, say I do monthly baselines and create a September baseline on September 1st. Then on the 8th more patches are released and now I want to add those to my baseline. I can’t remember which ones were newly released since Sept 1st and the ones I already added.

I looked through the forums and I saw others are having the same problem but no solution is given.

How is everybody else keeping track of the fixlets and preventing duplicates from being added?
