I was able to import a BES file someone provided and deploy software (in this case Splunk Universal Forwarder). The problem is that unlike patching, the option to have BigFix confirm deployment is greyed out so even though the operation was successful, the job still shows ‘Open’ in Actions, and never shows ‘Complete’. Again, the option to enable checking is greyed out.
Is it setup as a fixlet or task? In most regards, a fixlet would be prefered.
Do you have relevancy to check if the software is present?
It is set up as a fixlet. For relevancy, I opened it up by setting it to all computers so when I run it I just point it to the target I choose because I know it’s not installed. I have nothing else restricting it in Actions.
