Is there any way to set reporting periods for relevance in Fixlets? For Analysis you can set how often properties should report but I cannot find out how to do this for fixlets, is this because each fixlet MUST be evaluated each time?
We are troubleshooting why a client reports it has low disk space even though it has plenty and two fixlets show relevant which should not be relevant. At first thought we thought maybe it has not reported updated relevance but it has been over 24 hours since the drive space was increased and the machine is actively reporting back to the console. We are running diagnostics now to get additional details but wanted to see if anyone else had any thoughts.
The periodic evaluation for relevance is only available currently in what we call “digests” which are used in External sites where multiple fixlets are in a single file. Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be a way for you to create these at the present moment. The clients do have the functionality already its more an authoring issue.
The client reports low disk space on the volume where its __BESData directory is if you are meaning fixlet 29 of BES Support so are you sure you added to that volume
The machine is consistently reporting each hour. Fixlet 29 shows relevant using the following:
((free space of it / 1000000) of drive of client folder of site "bessupport") < 100
But this is incorrect as the free space of the drive is
C: - Size: 99 GB, Used:(38%) 38 GB, Free:(61%) 61 GB
E: - Size: 39 GB, Used:(5%) 2 GB, Free:(94%) 37 GB
The relevance for a fixlet is evaluated by the client during every eval loop, but that doesn’t mean that it will tell the root that is the case every time.
I believe if the client sent a report saying it isn’t relevant but it got lost, then it will stay relevant because the client will only send differential reports. You might need to force refresh the client to be certain.
