When running an action with "action parameter query “NEWUsername” with description “Please enter the Username to be Changed”

it puts the password in cleantext in the action,is there a way to hide or encrypt password

If you are on IEM 9.0 then you can use the Secure Parameter functionality, see Task 1294 -
Configure REST API credentials for BES Server Plugin Service for an example

You can use the “secret” to mask the password…
