Just wanted to get my initial post on these forums, as I will be posting a lot in the coming weeks. My company is currently going through a POC with Bigfix. We have had some initial lightweight training and documentation and now I am just playing around with it to get a better feel before I go through official BigFix training.
To give you some history, we are looking to use this initially on 3800 windows servers. The scope could then expand to 24000 desktops. For the servers, our current tool just does not cut it. While it does some things very well, we are just looking to go in a different direction with more robust software distribution and patch management.
So bear with me as I probably post some basic questions out here. I will always try and search the forums first, and I apologize in advance if I ask something that is a repeated question already documented.

Hi…, can anyone write a relevance statement to pull windows service info on any services running under local administrator account, and any schedule task is being run by local administrator for all systems registered in BES. Thx for the help.
I’m Kevin from Malaysia. Had attended a sales enablement session yesterday and found that BigFix is a very cool product. Besides wondering why I have not heard of it until yesterday, I was also wondering where I can download some sample Fixlets to view the scripting inside. I’m not an IT person but I can read and understand scripts a little (who can’t esp if the scripts uses 4th level language and not machine language …well, exception would be those with learning disabilities and those skipped english & reading classes in their youth )
I’m Alain from Paris FR, i have a little problem, after a ‘‘strong’’ shrink of Bfenterprise DB logs (60 Go) all computers in console are ‘‘greys’’. i can send actions, actions works but all appears ''not reported… i try to re-install clients on computer, same result, if somebody have idea i take :)… have a good day
