Getting user input through an offer

Is there anyone out there that knows of a way to prompt the

end user

for input during an offer? Is there any functionality built into BigFix that would allow a user to enter text into a text box, which could then be used in the action script?

I can think of a way to script this (on Windows, at least), but was wondering if anyone has found an easy way that works on both Mac and Windows.

Some examples of where this could be useful:

  • User enters a license key for an application install
  • User enters contact information, which gets written to a registry key or file and can be retrieved with an analysis

Unfortunately, we don’t have this features and I can’t think of a way to do this without writing a little application…
