Fixlet request for KB968930

(imported topic written by SystemAdmin)

Hello,

This would probably go under the “Updates for Windows Applications” site. Can IBM create the fixlets to install the KB968930 update for Powershell and WinRM?

Hi,

We are still working on the fixlets for KB968930. Today we have an update for Flash Player, hence KB968930 will be continued after the Flash Player update is done.

Thanks!

Relevance for windows 2003 x64.

Hi,

I checked the relevance. I am not returning any machines for your x64 relevance, but am returning both x86 and x64 machines for the first relevance code you uploaded. I still am only getting a fraction of the machines returned when using your relevance as compared to the relevance that I have created (which does not likely cover all the parameters that it should). I will list it below:

Q: (name of it = “Win2003”) of operating system

Q: if (exists value “PowerShellVersion” of keys “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\PowerShell\1\PowerShellEngine” of native registry) then(exists value “PowerShellVersion” whose (“2.0” != it) of key “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\PowerShell\1\PowerShellEngine” of native registry) else (true)

Hi Andrew,

Please try the attached fixlets from the console and let me know the result.

I am assuming this is for an upgrade and not deployment, is that correct? I am looking for more of a fixlet that brings everything up to this release including those machines that don’t have PowerShell at all yet.

Yes, the previous fixlets are for an upgrade. If you are looking for a deployment type fixlets, please try this one attached.

PS: .Net Framework 2.0 SP1 is the installation prerequisite. This update is only applicable to machines with .Net Framework 2.0 SP1 installed.

Regards!
