From Relay Diagnostics (http://top_level_relay:52311/RelayDiagnostics) we are beginning to intermittently see, more often then not, a warning that the FillDB buffer directory is overloaded and that new posts will not be accepted.
Relay Status Information
FillDB File Size Limit:
102.73% ( 3231615 / 3145728 Bytes )
FillDB File Count Limit:
3.10% ( 310 / 10000 Files )
Warning! The FillDB buffer directory is overloaded and new posts will not be accepted.
Can this be resolved by simply increasing the “FillDB File Size Limit”?

If you are only seeing it on the relays, remember, recommendation is ~1000 clients per Relay max. Add more relays?

You should probably do a couple things:
-Check the FillDB folder for any “stale” files (reports) that aren’t being processed/removed. The could be skewing the file count and folder size.
-Perhaps your relay is back logged because clients are sending abnormally large reports. Check for and analysis properties that return a large number of results/data and disable if necessary, or increase the FillDB folder size limit if you’re comfortable with that.
-Monitor the disk IO on that relay. I use perfmon to monitor disk queue length and response time.
