“unique values of (name of it) of packages of rpm” returns “” in my custom property. Is this a normal condition one should expect?

Are you looking to pull the names of installed packages? If so, try:
names of packages of rpm

I ran your query and Fedora 18 reports .

That’s interesting… It returns results for RHEL 6 - I don’t know if/what the differences are between RHEL 6 and Fedora…

Fedora 18 may have a different implementation of RPM.
Its not an officially supported distribution so I honestly don’t know the RPM version etc.
Also, are you using 8.2 or later? If you don’t have a “nobody” user this could be part of the issue. We launch a helper program running as “nobody” to do RPM work as doing the work as root can actually cause the RPM database to lock sometimes.
