Excel Connector - Status 400:Bad request

I just ran across the Excel Connector and when trying to connect to the BES Fixlets get a Error: The request failed with HTTP status 400: Bad request.

Any ideas on what is going wrong here?

I do not recognize this HTTP error as it relates to the Excel Connector.

Some background info might be helpful for me:

  • What version of the BigFix Server is in use.
  • What version of Excel are you using.
  • Have you used this successfully before, or this is the first time.

I’m getting the same error - with Excel 2003. Works just fine on a coworkers Excel 2007.

This is a bug.

When you specify the “Web Reports URL”, please make sure not to leave training “/”.

Good:

http://servername:portnumber

Bad:

http://servername:portnumber/
