(imported topic written by Corda)

I have a custom site with a copy of some fixlet.

If I select a check in the list, it views the error “automation server can’t create oject” Why?

In attachment the error.

Hi Corda,

The most common cause for this issue is that your Internet Explorer security settings are restricting the use of ActiveX controls. Try this as a solution: open up Internet Explorer -> Tools menu -> Internet Options -> Security Tab -> Trusted Sites zone

Click the “Sites” button and add “about:blank” to the list of trusted sites (you may need to uncheck the checkbox entitled “Require server verification (https://) for all sites in this zone” first).

Next, click the “Custom Level…” button (still under the Trusted Sites zone). Under the node titled “ActiveX controls and plug-ins”, find the last two items, titled “Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins” and “Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting”. Set both of these to “Enabled”, and click “Ok”.

Finally, close out of IE and restart your TEM Console. If you still see the same error message, please let me know.

Thanks!

Hi Craig Povey, I tried as you said but the issue remains.

Thanks for your support.

Hi Corda,

Another option, although it is less secure, is to try enabling the same two settings in IE that I mentioned above (that is, “Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins” and “Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting”) under the “Internet” zone (still on the “Security” tab of your Internet Explorer Internet Options window). This will change these settings for any webpage you browse to with IE, which could potentially be a security risk, but it should fix the console error as well.

P.S. You’ll still need to restart the TEM console after saving these IE changes.

Thanks,

Craig
